Planning All Points Argentina
At All Points Argentina we know how important it is to plan your trip both in the early stages and before you leave, and we want to make this as easy as possible for you. Certain questions you might ask are …. is it possible to go to Argentina and visit several places in two weeks, what time of year should I go, how much should I budget? We are here to help answer these questions and create the holiday of a lifetime depending on when and how much time you have and how much you are looking to spend. This means that all our holidays are unique and customised for you as individuals.
What can I do in two weeks in Argentina?
If you would like to have a taste of Argentina from all aspects and only have a couple of weeks, we can arrange a fantastic trip that incorporates some of the contrasting highlights of the country, as well as spending a few days in a place of your choice to relax and soak up the atmosphere. This may be a visit to the waterfalls of Iguazu or the glaciers near El Calafate, combined with a few days in the wine country of Mendoza, the lakes of Bariloche or the indigenous and highly cultural provinces of Salta and Jujuy, followed by a couple of nights in the heart of Buenos Aires. This just requires a few internal flights, so as long as you are happy to jump on a plane we will ensure you see some of the best bits of Argentina whilst having time to enjoy each place without feeling rushed. By using the excellent luxury bus transfers (often overnight), you can even travel from place to place in complete comfort at budget costs.
When is the best time to visit Argentina?
As Argentina is in the southern hemisphere the seasons are reversed. This means that it is a great place to visit if you are looking for some winter sun. Spring begins in October and the main summer months are December to March, but the affect of the weather really depends on whether you head to the warmer climate of the north or the cooler climate of the south. As the geography of Argentina is so varied, the climate is as well. So even in Argentina’s winter, from June to September, it is possible to visit the tropical areas of the north as well as hitting the ski slopes in the south. Just let us know when you are thinking of making your trip and we will put together a proposal depending on where is best to go at that time of year.
How much should I budget?
All the trips we create at All Points Argentina are specific to you and we will quote your holiday bearing in mind a number of factors, including your accommodation choice, how luxurious you would like to be, whether you would like private guides or to do things independently and what activities you would like to incorporate within your trip. If you have a budget we will aim to stay within this and we will make suggestions and give alternative options so you can choose what best suits you.
When budgeting it is always worth thinking about the number of people you will be travelling with. Collective costs such as transfers, hire cars and guides will of course reduce the cost per person according to the number of people in each party. A supplement based on accommodation will be charged for solo travellers.
What should I take?
This is always a good question when you are thinking about what to pack. Of course a lot depends on when you are going to Argentina and what you plan to do whilst you are there and we will advise you specifically on this once your itinerary has been finalised. However, there are some general points which should be considered:
- Temperatures are generally cooler in the south than the north and those heading to Patagonia should take warmer layers and a wind / waterproof jacket as a precaution no matter what time of year. Trekkers should take sturdy walking shoes or boots.
- The sun is very strong wherever you go so sunglasses and sun protection are a must.
- For those spending time in Buenos Aires it is a chic, fashionable city where people dress up to go out in the evenings, so you may want to take a nice outfit if you plan to hit the town at night!
With your ideas on what you want to achieve and our help and advice, you can rest assured that All Points Argentina will think of everything to make your holiday comfortable and easy going.
